Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data
• Prep the operating room for patient and procedure; position and prepare patient on the operating table
• Perform all circulating duties with efficiency and speed, including duties within or outside the sterile field as assigned
• Complete verification of the Safe Surgery checklist in accordance with service excellence standards
• Delegate, supervise, and evaluate activities of other team members while executing interventions in urgent or emergent situations
• Serve as communication liaison to family members and the operating team; participate in assigned call as scheduled

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina or compact state eligibility
• Operating Room clinical experience required
• Ability to perform circulating duties independently and efficiently
• Proficiency with computer programs utilized in patient care delivery

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with sterile field techniques and surgical supply/equipment management
• Familiarity with Safe Surgery protocols and surgical checklist processes
• Demonstrated ability to function effectively in urgent or emergent intraoperative situations
