Personal Care Assistant

Position Title: Personal Care Assistant (PCA) - Behavior Support Location: Boyertown, PA Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM Full-year position Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) with strong behavioral support experience to provide one-on-one assistance to a student within a school setting. This role is focused on supporting both academic engagement and behavioral development while ensuring the student can successfully access curriculum and school resources. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one support to a student with behavioral needs Assist the student in achieving academic and behavioral goals Implement behavior support strategies and interventions as directed Support the student with modifications and accommodations to access curriculum Provide physical assistance when needed to ensure safe mobility and participation Adapt instructional materials as necessary to meet student needs Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and administration Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment for the student Reporting Structure: Reports to the Supervisor of Special Education and Building Principal Required Qualifications: Experience working with children with behavioral needs preferred Strong interpersonal, communication, and behavior management skills Ability to follow directives and work as part of a multidisciplinary team Pre-Employment Requirements: PA Child Abuse Clearance, PA Criminal History Clearance, and FBI Clearance (all within one year) Proof of qualifications CPR and First Aid Certification Arrest/Conviction Report & Certification (Act 24) Letter of Assurance confirming completion of Act 168 Employment History Review Proof of Act 126 Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Training Tuberculosis test (completed within the last 3 months) 10-panel drug screening Additional Information: This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting a student's academic and behavioral success in a structured educational setting.
