Principal Developer / QA Automation Engineer

This will be run through Solutions either Velocity or Solutions Screen (Candidates Choice). Need a person with core Java knowledge and who has understanding of creating a automation framework from scratch.

Location: ideally in a Fidelity Location (New England, NYC, or Raleigh) but for the right candidate will look remotely.

Business Unit: Fidelity Center for Applied Technology (FCAT) has the mission to catalyze innovation for Fidelity and our clients and supports the entire Fidelity businesses. Within FCAT there is a group developing a brand-new brokerage trading platform called Green Meadows.

Summary:

As a Principal Developer / QA Automation Engineer, your role is to create automated scripts and perform functional testing for the Green Meadows program. Green Meadows is a large and important initiative for FCAT and the firm. This candidate will be working closely with both business and technology key stakeholders.

Strong communication and collaboration skills are important for this role. A strong desire to drive to obtainable results with direct and frequent communication with management and QA associates is needed for success in this position.

Candidate must be able to communicate effectively to multiple audiences from both technical and business perspectives. Possessing the ability to work collaboratively across organizational boundaries within Green Meadows by building and maintaining strong partnerships is extremely important.

The Purpose of Your Role:

The Principal Developer / QA Automation Engineer is responsible for working closely with the Green Meadows program manager and QA team to assist in a variety of tasks including creation of automated test scripts in several key functional areas. Candidate must be comfortable working with a growing team of technologists in a fast paced and highly ambiguous environment bursting with emerging technologies, high risks and uncertainty.
