As a Staff Accountant at Neighborly, a typical day for you will include:
- Perform monthly closing activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, accrual schedules, variance analysis & commentary, financial statements, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies and procedures.
- Assist management with financial statements review.
- Analyze financial information, reports (detailing income, expenses, assets, and liabilities), and prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement, statement of cash flows, and other reports.
- Review and record sales contracts.
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Understand and apply generally accepted accounting principles.
- Prepare commissions and bonuses for the approval process.
- Prepare schedules, test samples, footnotes, and related disclosures in support of the external audit.
- Use software such as Microsoft Suites (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams), Dynamics, Great Plains, SAP Concur, and Northridge Loan Management Software.

(Required qualifications)
Experience:
- A minimum of two (2) years of recent related experience is required.
- Intermediate-level knowledge of the Microsoft suite (Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) is required.
- Working knowledge of ERP/financial system.
Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Accounting required
Schedule / in-office requirements:
- Hybrid working model; Monday-Wednesday in the office, Thursday/Friday from home.

- 1010 N University Parks Drive, Waco, TX
