CNC Machinist

Position: CNC Machinist Location: Eaton, OH Job Id: 158-1 # of Openings: 1 Department: Machine Shop Shift: 1st (7a-3p), 2nd (3p-11p), or 3rd (11p-7a) Pay Range: $21—$41/hr Shift Differential: $4.00/hr for 2nd or 3rd Shift What You’ll Do Set up and operate CNC machining centers, grinders, and related equipment to produce precision components Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs, adjust tool offsets, and implement process improvements to optimize machining performance, quality, and efficiency. Interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, setup documentation, and inspection requirements Perform machine setups, tooling changes, and process adjustments to consistently meet specifications Troubleshoot machining issues involving tooling, fixtures, programs, and equipment Perform in‑process inspections using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, indicators, calipers, CMM, optical, and laser measurement systems Support continuous improvement efforts by recommending improvements to tooling, fixtures, processes, and documentation Assist with developing and improving setup instructions, machining processes, and work instructions Provide technical support and knowledge sharing with other machinists What We’re Looking For 5+ years of CNC machining experience preferred 5+ years of manual machining experience is a plus Strong experience setting up and operating CNC machining centers Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, feeds/speeds, and process improvement Experience making CNC program edits and troubleshooting machining challenges Ability to use precision inspection equipment and interpret measurement results Strong math skills, including practical use of geometry and trigonometry Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment Physical Requirements This role requires standing for extended periods, frequent use of hands and arms, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
