Student Nurse Extern

Role Overview: The Student Nurse Extern assists nursing staff in patient care under supervision, performing assigned activities aligned with their skills training and validation. Key Responsibilities: Participates in nursing care, maintains equipment and supplies, assists with patient assessments such as vital signs and specimen collection, and supports activities like hygiene, mobility, and documentation. Performs clerical duties, adheres to safety and infection control policies, and responds to emergencies. Collaborates with team members, maintains confidentiality, and ensures a safe environment. Qualifications: Enrolled in an approved nursing program with completed fundamentals, current CPR/BLS certification, and at least one year of patient care experience or equivalent training. Must demonstrate clinical competency across diverse patient populations. Skills & Physical Demands: Strong communication, teamwork, and adherence to policies.
