Inspector 3 (Sensors) 3rd Shift

Basic Qualifications High School Education or GED equivalency. 3 years’ inspection experience in a Manufacturing environment Ability and willingness to use hand tools and measuring devices (optical comparators, ohm meters, leak check devices, CMMs, dial calipers, rulers, tape measures, protractors, micrometers, gauges, etc.) as required within department. Intermediate understanding of basic computer applications, such as Oracle and Microsoft Office. Ability and willingness to obtain specific knowledge in one or more of the following disciplines: Electrical Inspection, Mechanical Inspection. Intermediate understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation, including functional knowledge of geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T). Ability and willingness to pass a visual acuity exam upon offer. Ability and willingness to obtain Braze, Weld and Solder inspection certification as required. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Utilize manual or automated measurement and testing equipment to assure quality of products. Identify and document non-conforming parts and maintain inspection records in Oracle. Inspect all raw materials and purchased parts to determine conformance to design requirements. Use statistical process control and statistical quality control techniques as required. Perform job responsibilities according to internal process specifications and third‑party requirements. Assist support functions in root cause analysis. Communicate with team to ensure all members are aware of product deficiencies, new processes, or issues. Work with limited supervision. Perform manual set‑up, test, and troubleshooting including performance testing and trim grind. Understand operation of all inspection equipment within the department. Inform shift operators of special problems involving operation or set‑up. Cross‑train other employees as needed based on knowledge and experience. Comply with all written and electronic labor tracking documentation. Report problems to appropriate resource or Coach. Proactively improve efficiency and quality of products. Participate in and support team initiatives. Use proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures. Exemplify and coach others on GE Leadership behaviors. Perform duties on more complex, prototype, or first‑time builds. Perform final inspection responsibilities as required by area. Conduct first article inspections as required. Perform complex testing (surge test, dielectric, hipot, helium leak check, ATP, hardness testing, etc.) as required. Other duties as required. Desired Qualifications 3–5 years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in Customer requirements. Audit experience. Knowledge of Quality System requirements (AS9100). Preferred assembly, solder, or electronics manufacturing experience. Prior experience in a self‑directed team environment. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment. Intermediate understanding of special processes such as brazing, soldering, welding, coating, etc. as required within the department. Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn. Physical Demands Continuous use of hands and fingers in repetition. Occasional bending, stooping, twisting, crouching, squatting, climbing, or balancing. Continuous sitting; occasional lifting up to 20 lbs.; pushing/pulling up to 22 lbs. Hazard Statement This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations, working with chemicals, and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age upon joining. Compensation The pay for this position is $27.75/hr plus 10% for the shift difference. The position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary. Posting is expected to close 8/31/26.
