Title: Surgical Tech
Location: Salinas, CA 93901
Duration: 3 months of assignment (with Possible Extension)
Shift & Schedule: Evenings, 5x8, 40 hours/Week (Monday - Friday, 2:30pm - 11:00pm)
Pay: up to $58/hr. on W2 (for Locals)
Pay: up to $2450/weekly (for Travelers)

Position Overview:
The Surgical Technician will support the surgical team by working primarily as a Scrub Tech and assisting with circulating duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
The candidate must be comfortable working with a variety of surgical procedures and maintaining strict aseptic/sterile techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

Scrub for a wide variety of surgical procedures.
Maintain sterile and aseptic techniques.
Assist the surgical team during major and minor procedures.
Set up and maintain the surgical back table.
Prepare, mobilize, and pre-test surgical equipment.
Assist with patient transportation.
Support room turnover and cleanup.
Stock operating rooms and specialty carts.
Assist anesthesia staff when required.
Maintain a safe surgical environment.
Provide circulating assistance under RN supervision.
Take part in after-hours emergency procedures if required by the facility.
Perform other assigned duties.

Education and Certification:

Strong scrub skills in General GYN and GU surgery.
Must be able to scrub neuro, robotics, and complex surgical cases.
Acute-care hospital OR experience preferred.
High School Diploma or GED.
Completion of an approved Surgical Technician/Surgical Technology program.
Current BLS Certificate - AHA.
