Asset Management - Special Situations Credit Analyst - Associate

Our Business Global Special Situations ("GSS") group within the Alternatives Division of JPMorgan Asset Management is growing. The team manages approximately $4Bn capital and focuses on both Public and Private Opportunistic Credit Situations. Job Summary Associate level desk analyst within the situational research team in the Global Special Situations group. Reports to the Head of Research. The position is New York‑based, requiring experience in financial valuation and credit analysis, typically from a buy‑side credit analyst or sell‑side analyst background. The analyst will source new investment opportunities and collaborate with NY and London teams to produce finished products that drive risk decisions. Job Responsibilities Construct and maintain financial models to support investment decision making and ongoing portfolio management Review credit agreements and governing documents for informed investment decision making Develop a network to source investment opportunities Support business development, marketing, and control initiatives as required by the GSS Co‑CIOs Ensure compliance with JPMAM/GSS policies, procedures, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills 3+ years of credit experience or a related background Valuation and credit analysis experience, including the ability to analyze and value investment instruments issued/borrowed by performing, stressed, distressed, and event‑driven companies Strong work ethic and mature personality to enable direct company and investor interactions Proven ability to work under pressure, task‑orientated, and meet tight deadlines Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills Opportunistic credit preferred Equal Employment Opportunity JPMorgan Chase & Co. is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including Disability/Veterans.
