Earn & Learn to become a Nurse Aide with FREE Nurse Aide Training in Hilo, Hawaii!

The Position:

We're looking for passionate Nurse Aides (NA) to help us with providing nursing care and services for residents, that include personal and restorative care and activities of daily living.

• Ohana Nurse Aides (NAs) orient residents to the unit and facility: Bathroom, call system, shower schedule, and lanai/common areas; introduces to residents at table; informs of meal schedule and snack times; and informs of activity calendar and where activities are held.
• Nurse Aides (NAs) respond to resident calls, call bells, call lights, alarms immediately. Responds to family requests. Informs Charge Nurse when required.

Free Course Instruction with Full-time or Part-Time Employment:

• Course schedule to commence July 20th - end of August; classes held Monday and Thursday.
• Duration: 100 hours, in-person instruction
• Location: Legacy Hilo
• Course instruction provided by Healthcare Training & Career Consultants Inc.
• Work as a Nurse Aide will commence following program completion at Legacy Hilo.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent. / Minimum age of 18 by end of Nurse Aide Training Program.
• Completion of Hawaii Nurse Aide Training Program.
• Scheduled Prometric exam within 120 days of hire.
• Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (can be done in-house).
