Bakery Technical Trainer

Palermo Villa, Inc.

Job Description

Job Description

Join a Team That Builds Skills and Drives Excellence! Bakery Technical Trainer

Are you passionate about developing people, improving processes, and making a real impact on the production floor? Do you thrive in a hands-on environment where training, collaboration, and continuous improvement are key?

We are looking for a Bakery Technical Trainer to support the development of our manufacturing workforce by delivering impactful training programs, improving technical capabilities, and partnering cross-functionally to enhance performance across our bakery operations.

Who you’ll work for…

While most companies that sell pizza have no real connection to Italy, Palermo’s passion for food and family reaches all the way back to the country where pizza was born. “Papa Palermo” carried the cherished recipes to America from Sicily!

Innovation is at the heart of who we are. We take an entrepreneurial, forward-thinking approach to deliver high-quality products that are consistently recognized by both the industry and consumers.

Our commitment to quality has made Palermo’s a leader in private label frozen pizza and contract manufacturing.

Perks…
  • 20 free pizzas per month
  • Opportunities for training and career advancement
  • Paid Time Off + Floating Holiday
  • 401(k) & Roth with company match (fully vested day one of eligibility)
  • Comprehensive benefits starting the first of the month after hire
Where you’ll work…

Located in Milwaukee’s Menomonee River Valley, Villa Palermo is a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility connected to our corporate headquarters.

Our operations include:

  • On-site bakery producing best-in-class crusts
  • Advanced processing and packaging lines
  • 24/7 production and distribution environment
What you’ll do…
  • Deliver hands-on training to bakery employees across all levels, including operators, leads, and associates
  • Develop and update training materials, programs, and visual learning tools
  • Coordinate and schedule training sessions using the learning management system
  • Track training progress, completion rates, and key performance metrics
  • Support onboarding and continuous development of employees across all shifts
  • Partner with Operations, R&D, QA, Engineering, and Maintenance on training needs and initiatives
  • Create videos and training aids to improve understanding and reduce downtime
  • Evaluate employee skill levels and provide feedback to leadership
  • Support process improvements, line trials, and operational changes
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement
What You Bring…
  • 3–5 years of experience in a training or supervisory role within manufacturing (food manufacturing preferred)
  • Experience working in BRC or SQF-certified environments (USDA experience a plus)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand equipment and processes
  • Experience using learning management systems or training technologies
  • Ability to train, coach, and develop employees at all levels
  • Strong communication, organization, and presentation skills
  • Ability to adapt and problem-solve in a fast-paced production environment
  • Bilingual skills are a plus
Why You’ll Succeed…
  • You enjoy teaching and developing others
  • You’re hands-on and comfortable working on the production floor
  • You can break down complex processes into simple, effective training
  • You thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
  • You’re driven by continuous improvement and operational excellence
What to Expect…
  • Flexibility to support 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts based on business needs
  • Approximately 20% travel as needed
  • A dynamic role that blends training, operations, and technical expertise
