Phlebotomist Patient-Focused Lab SpecialistLocation: Dallas, TX (Onsite)Position Type: Full-Time / Contract (based on hiring needs)What You'll DoSpecimen Collection & Patient CarePerform venipuncture using straight needles and butterfly needlesCollect blood, urine, and other specimens following established proceduresClearly explain collection procedures to patients in a professional and reassuring mannerEnsure patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality at all timesSpecimen Handling & ProcessingLabel, centrifuge, split, and store specimens according to test requirementsMatch laboratory requisition forms with specimen tubes for 100% accuracyPrepare and package specimens for transport while maintaining integrityFollow proper storage protocols, including temperature requirementsLab Operations & ComplianceMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentPerform equipment maintenance and decontamination dutiesAdhere to OSHA and DEP regulationsParticipate in annual training and continuous educationAdministrative & Support TasksUpdate and verify patient information in systemsAnswer incoming calls and assist with lab-related inquiriesCommunicate results or escalate issues as neededSupport workflow improvements and assist with training when requiredWhat You BringRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDValid Phlebotomy Certification (where required by state)Strong attention to detail and accuracyJob Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Rowlett, TX.Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
