Are you a supply chain professional who thrives on solving complex inventory challenges, optimizing replenishment strategies, and influencing business performance? We're looking for a Senior Inventory Planner to play a critical role in ensuring the right products are in the right stores at the right time.

In this highly visible role, you'll drive inventory strategy, replenishment planning, and allocation decisions across a dynamic retail environment. You'll collaborate with cross-functional partners, leverage data and technology to improve planning outcomes, and help shape a rapidly evolving area of the business that directly impacts sales, customer experience, and financial performance.

This position is primarily hybrid (4 days onsite per week) Pacific Time hours (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PT).

What You'll Do

As a Senior Inventory Planner, you will:

• Develop and execute inventory and service level strategies that support business goals and operational capabilities.
• Determine optimal inventory levels and recommend solutions that balance customer service, product availability, and cost.
• Drive store replenishment, allocation, and inventory planning processes to maximize sales and profitability.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance planning effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability.
• Champion new tools, technologies, and capabilities that improve inventory management and replenishment performance.
• Partner closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Merchandising, and other cross-functional teams to develop replenishment policies that align with strategic priorities and product lifecycle needs.
• Anticipate business risks and inventory challenges, proactively identifying solutions and recommending action plans.
• Analyze inventory performance, planning outcomes, and historical trends to continuously improve results.
• Troubleshoot planning and system issues using strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
• Communicate complex planning decisions clearly and effectively to a variety of stakeholders.
• Influence decision-making and build alignment when balancing competing priorities across teams.
• Help foster a collaborative, positive, and high-performing team culture.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in inventory planning, replenishment, supply chain planning, or inventory management.
• Strong understanding of inventory control and replenishment processes in a retail, distribution, or multi-location environment.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP and supply chain planning systems.
• Ability to leverage point-of-sale and operational data to drive inventory decisions.
• Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
• Strong analytical and technical aptitude with the ability to understand complex planning systems and logic.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to balance service, cost, and operational constraints while making sound business decisions.
• Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and adapt in a changing environment.
• Availability to work Pacific Time business hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting highly system-driven supply chain environments.
• Deep expertise in retail replenishment, allocation, and inventory optimization strategies.
• Experience leading process improvements or implementing new planning capabilities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
