Job Title: Order Selector Job Description

The Order Selector works on 2nd shift in a fast-paced warehouse environment, using forklifts, order pickers, and RF scanners to accurately pick and move a wide range of products. This role suits someone who enjoys staying busy, can work independently for long periods, and feels comfortable working at heights while wearing a safety harness on elevated racking.

• Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts (hi-los) and order picker equipment safely and efficiently throughout the shift.
• Use an RF scanner to accurately pick, scan, and move products to designated locations in the warehouse.
• Select and handle a variety of products, ranging from small items such as drill bits to larger industrial components.
• Work at heights on an order picker while secured in a harness to retrieve products from elevated racking.
• Meet established productivity and accuracy goals in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Lift, carry, and move products weighing up to 50 pounds as part of daily material handling tasks.
• Support general warehouse operations, including order picking, packing, shipping and receiving, and inventory-related tasks as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and follow all safety procedures and equipment guidelines.
• Work independently for extended periods while staying focused on task completion and quality.

• 612 months of warehouse experience, including exposure to order picking or material handling.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts (stand-up or sit-down hi-lo) and order pickers.
• Ability to use an RF scanner for order selection, inventory tracking, and product movement.
• Comfort working at heights and wearing a safety harness while operating an order picker on elevated racking.
• Capability to lift and move up to 50 pounds repeatedly during the shift.
• Ability to work a 2nd shift schedule from 5:00 PM until completion, typically between 1:00 AM and 3:30 AM.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when picking and handling orders.
• Ability to work independently and stay productive with minimal interaction for several hours at a time.

• Experience with shipping and receiving processes in a warehouse environment.
• Background in packing, inventory, and general labor tasks.
• Strong work ethic and comfort in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
• Ability to adapt to handling both small parts and larger industrial components safely.

This is a 2nd shift warehouse role with hours from 5:00 PM until work is completed, typically between 1:00 AM and 3:30 AM. The facility is nontemperature controlled but equipped with multiple fans to improve comfort. The goal is to maintain a team of about 12 people on the shift, creating a focused environment where you can go 23 hours without needing to talk to anyone if you prefer to work independently. The warehouse uses stand-up and sit-down forklifts, order pickers, and RF scanners to handle a wide variety of products from small parts to large industrial components. Personal protective equipment is not required, and the dress code is casual, allowing shorts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wyoming, MI.

The pay range for this position is $21.15 - $21.15/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
