Dental Hygienist

Abbott & Associates, Inc. is seeking Dental Hygienists on behalf of their reputable dental practice clients in the Portland Metro area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling, fluoride and sealants, and root planing
• Complete a thorough assessment of the patient's teeth, bone, and periodontal tissues, and document any abnormalities or suspected conditions
• Customize care to meet patient's oral health
• Educate patients on good oral hygiene techniques
• Aid the dentist with procedures and emergencies as needed
• Maintain patient confidentiality
• Provide all care in conjunction with accepted professional dental practices and standards

Required Skills and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited school of dental hygiene
• Registered Dental Hygienist licensure in the state of Oregon or state of Washington
• Current CPR certification
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Proven dedication to provide high quality, comprehensive dental care
• Ability to comply with safety procedures, rules, and regulations in order to maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Strong working knowledge of dental terminology, equipment, and practices
• Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide certified (preferred)

Schedule:

• We currently have temporary, temp-to-hire and direct hire opportunities available. Part time and full time schedules available. As a temporary employee, work as much or as little as you want!

Pay:

• $55-$65/hr

Must be able to pass a criminal background check. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. at time of application.
