Description What You'll Do

• Conduct routine and complex clinical laboratory testsincluding chemistry, hematology, immunology, and morewhile adhering to established protocols.
• Evaluate results for accuracy, resolve errors, and ensure preventative maintenance and calibration are performed on laboratory equipment.
• Assist in specimen collection and prepare samples for analysis as needed.
• Document all processes in detail, train new employees or students, and help maintain lab quality standards.
• Foster a clean, safe work environment while complying with regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent allied health degree with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within one year of hire.
• Maintain an active certification throughout your employment.
