Mechanical Engineer 2 - HVAC & Plumbing

Overview Join AZAD Technology Partners as a Mechanical Engineer in Vancouver, Washington. The role involves scoping, design, design coordination/reviews, and facilitating the construction, remodeling, and replacement of HVAC, controls, plumbing systems (water & waste), fire alarm and detection systems, engine generators, and fuel systems across various facilities including substation, control houses, relay houses, remote radio buildings, maintenance headquarters, control centers and other support buildings. The engineer will also escort architectural & engineering (A&E) firms and outside construction contractors for preparing assessments, surveys, and conducting bid tours. This is a 2‑year plus consultant position with a high probability of long‑term continued employment and is full‑time on‑site, 5 days a week. Responsibilities Scoping, design, design coordination, and reviews of HVAC, controls, plumbing, fire alarm, detection, generator, and fuel systems. Facilitating construction, remodel and replacement across a range of facilities. Escorting A&E firms and outside construction contractors for preparation of assessments, surveys, and bid tours. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management or a related field from an ABET‑accredited institution. At least 5 years of engineering experience. Knowledge of engineering concepts, principals and practices applicable to components and facilities found on regional transmission systems. Experience with codes & standards (NFPA, NEC, ASHRAE, UPC). Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and Blue Beam. Valid U.S. Driver’s License or Real ID. Preferred PE license.
