Job Description

The Cardiac Registered Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care to patients on the cardiac floor, focusing on advanced cardiac telemetry and post-operative care. The nurse will work in a fast-paced environment, managing critical patients and executing care plans as per physicians' orders.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor cardiac drips and ensure proper titration as needed.
• Provide care for patients recovering from various cardiac surgeries and procedures.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias with accurate assessments.
• Assist with sheath removal and chest tube management.
• Administer non-invasive airway management, including CPAP/BIPAP and nasal cannula.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
• Complete necessary documentation and utilize EPIC for charting.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac floor is required.
• Travel experience is preferred unless the candidate has more than 24 months of cardiac experience.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Preferred skills include arterial line management, wound care, and charge nurse experience.
