Social Media Assistant

Department: ATHLETICS (BA-ATHL-IUBLA) Job Summary Review social media content for various communications needs,audiences, and platforms. Post approved content, monitor comments and feedback fortrends, and report issues to supervisor as needed. Under supervision, review and correct basic grammar, spelling,punctuation, formatting, and syntax errors in draft social mediaposts; may respond to basic social media comments on behalf of thedepartment. May draft routine social media content to be reviewed andapproved by supervisor. May provide guidance to other Social Media Assistants. Qualifications Combinations of related education and experience may beconsidered. Education beyond the minimum required may besubstituted for work experience. Work experience beyond the minimumrequired may be substituted for education. Education Required High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED) Work Experience Required 2 years in a relevant field Skills Required Proficient written and verbal communication skills Maintain a high degree of professionalism Demonstrate time management and priority setting skills Demonstrate a high commitment to quality Possess flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamicenvironment Highly thorough and dependable Working Conditions / Demands This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and tooperate a computer and other standard office productivityequipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periodsof time moving around an office environment and the campus.
