Procurement Category Manager (Financial Analysis Specialist Advisor)

Independently manage business procurment strategy of the assigned business groups(s), country or region. The incumbent must demonstrate strong financial and business acumen. Interface with and influence senior level management within company. Understand and communicate cost saving plans and recommedations to business leaders. Negotiate, manage, and review contractual arrangements while ensuring compliance at local and regional levels. Support sales team in new business support activities that includes building procurement fulfilment models within sales deal models and enabling risk identification and mitigation strategies. Consult with legal counsel to mitigate company risk. Proven collaboration and interpersonal skills required to support and participate in cross functional category teams and demonstrates the ability to develop and foster cooperative relationships. Interact with and influence various internal groups while understand technical requirements and recommending possible solutions to ;urchasing requirements. Responsible for developing and maintaining contact with key suppliers. Assist in the development of supplier scorecards and conduct quarterly business reviews. Maintain, evaluate, and expand reliable suppliers to effectively achieve cost, availability, and reliability. Apply advanced Procurement principles, theories, concepts, and techniques. Use judgment within defined practices and procedures when faced with complex problems. Handles projects which have short and medium term focus. Advanced use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for procurement sourcing. In country or region, this position will be responsible for supporting the business in addressing day to day operational issues with all levels of country/regional management by involving appropriate procurement operational team(s). If assigned to an account, this position will be responsible for addressing day to day operational activities including: raising purchase orders, sending purchase orders to suppliers, checking requisitions and purchase order status, ensuring three way match and goods receipt and ensuring suppliers payments are made per payment terms.
