MAJOR GIFTS OFFICER

Full-time (Hybrid) Location: Peninsula Area Hiring Range: $135k-$160k annually Major Gifts Officer, Peninsula (San Mateo County) This hybrid role manages a major gifts portfolio of donors and prospects from Daly City and South San Francisco south through San Mateo, Redwood City, and Menlo Park. The Major Gifts Officer identifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards individual donors and foundation partners capable of significant giving across the Peninsula. As the lead fundraiser for this market, they will build a visible community presence through regular donor visits, site visits, and events. Candidates must live in the Peninsula area. Strong preference for candidates familiar with the Peninsula donor community. The Opportunity As a Major Gifts Officer, you will play a central role in shaping and advancing PPMM’s major gift program for both our 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) organizations within your assigned region. You will manage and grow relationships with donors capable of giving $10,000–$100,000+ , serving as a strategic partner, storyteller, and steward. This position offers: Autonomy to build and manage donor relationships your way Visibility and influence as a senior representative of PPMM Collaboration with leadership, volunteers, and a seasoned Development Team Mission ‑ critical impact at a pivotal moment for reproductive rights What You’ll Do Lead the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major gift donors and prospects. Develop and execute regional fundraising strategies aligned with organizational goals and best practices in moves management. Build and manage a portfolio of major donors with care, intention, and long‑term vision. Create individualized engagement and solicitation strategies that connect donor values to organizational priorities. Represent PPMM to influential donors, community leaders, and public audiences as a senior fundraiser. Partner with leadership and volunteers on meaningful donor engagement opportunities and solicitations. Ensure exceptional stewardship, including timely acknowledgment, impact reporting, and recognition. Track donor activity and progress using fundraising software and contribute to thoughtful goal‑setting, forecasting, and reporting. Plan donor meetings and cultivation events with support from the Development Team.
