Welder PositionConductix-Wampfler, a growing industrial products manufacturer is looking for a qualified welder to join their fabrication team. Qualified candidates will possess the following:Have 2-5 years of experience with MIG and TIG welding in a fabrication environmentMust have aluminum and stainless steel TIG welding experienceBe a problem solverBlueprint reading a mustQuality focusedWelding certification or technical degree a plusConductix-Wampfler offers a great starting wage, with health, dental, and life insurance, 401k plan, paid vacation/personal time and holidays, profit sharing and tuition reimbursement program.Lays out, fits, and welds fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms such as frames, stands, reels, shafts, and parts by performing the following duties.Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding.Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together.Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.Set up equipment and welds parts, using MIG/TIG/Torch welding equipment.Assembles parts by bolting and riveting.Basic knowledge and use of hand and power tools. (i.e. angle grinders, wrenches, impacts, etc.)Uses acetylene/plasma arc equipment to cut metal parts to print specifications.Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.Responsible for reading blueprints, carrying out welding requirements, and ensuring product quality. Required to perform duties following work order process sheets.Maintains and sustains 5S within the department.Responsible for checking the accuracy of engineering, sales, and manufacturing offices' input to ensure customer final product is correct and within quality acceptance guidelines. Any changes or corrections must be communicated to appropriate departments, so future product output is consistent with customer expectations.Understands, supports, implements, and sustains 5S program initiatives and goals.Supports and upholds the quality and EHS policy.Upholds Core ValuesWill be required to perform additional duties as assigned.Qualifications:One year certificate from college or technical school; or 2-5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with employees of the organization.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Certification in Welding trade preferredWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, and frequently may work in a kneeling, crouching, or lying position. The employee frequently is required to climb ladders and/or use step stools. The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up heavy items. The employee should possess an exemplary level of dexterity to perform precision welding and occasional complex assembly of fixtures and components.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
