Insurance Defense Attorney

A trial-focused insurance defense firm in Houston, TX, is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join their growing team at their new Loop Central office. The firm handles high-exposure personal injury matters commercial trucking and auto, premises liability, construction defect, and dram shop litigation.

Responsibilities

• Managing litigation matters from inception through resolution with increasing case ownership
• Taking and defending fact witness and expert depositions
• Handling written discovery, motion practice, and case strategy development
• Preparing cases for trial, including witness and exhibit preparation
• Maintaining direct relationships with claims professionals, insureds, and clients
• Participating in mediations and settlement conferences

Qualifications

• Active Texas Bar license in good standing
• 2+ years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills
• Positive, solutions-oriented mindset with a desire for case ownership and long-term growth

The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 and $225,000 . Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
