Lifeguard Position
The City of Lake Forest is looking for qualified individuals to serve as Lifeguards during the Forest Park Beach 2026 season. Lifeguards must have a valid American Red Cross Lifeguarding & Beach Certification. Lifeguards will be staffed Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend.
Examples of duties include ensuring the safety of beach patrons, preventing injuries and minimizing hazardous situations, enforcing all facility policies, rules and regulations, acting in any emergency situation and staying with victim until help arrives, responding to patron concerns and inquiries in a professional manner, documenting incidents/injuries, recording and maintaining detailed reports, maintaining facility cleanliness, and conducting safety inspections.
Qualifications include a valid American Red Cross Lifeguarding & Beach Certification, the ability to work weekends and holidays, and availability from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend. Training details are to be determined.

Compensation is $18.00/hr.
