Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across outpatient services, pre-op, post-op, PACU, and procedural sedation settings, evaluating and adjusting the nursing care process to ensure optimal outcomes
• Perform focused assessments and reassessments across all age groups, including pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general patient populations
• Monitor hemodynamic status, identify cardiac arrhythmias, and intervene using ACLS and PALS algorithms and physician orders
• Prepare patients for examinations or procedures, assist the physician as needed, and review discharge instructions with the patient or responsible party
• Maintain accurate and ongoing nursing documentation including patient history, condition, vital signs, treatments, responses to intervention, and changes in status
• Calculate, prepare, hang, monitor, and discontinue IV fluids and medication drips based on patient age and clinical condition

Required Qualifications

• Current Wyoming Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• TNCC certification required within 6 months of hire, or as class availability allows
• Knowledge of perioperative and post-anesthesia care nursing principles, aseptic techniques, and infection control
• Ability to perform effectively in highly stressful situations and communicate with a wide variety of patients, families, and healthcare team members

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care or surgical services setting
• National perioperative nursing certification
• Experience providing care across a broad age range, from newborn through geriatric populations
