Step into a meaningful role making a difference in the lives of students who benefit from specialized support. Two contract opportunities are available for experienced Special Education Teachers passionate about serving students with developmental cognitive disabilities or those identified with ASD or DCD. You’ll join dynamic teams supporting either middle schoolers in a structured setting 4 program, or elementary students within a setting 3 environment.

In the BridgeView setting 4 program, you’ll work with middle school students (grades 6-8) who have significant disabilities, including those using wheelchairs and exhibiting mild behaviors. At the Farnsworth Lower setting 3 program, your caseload will be 6-9 elementary-aged students, primarily identified with ASD or DCD, allowing you to use your expertise in individualized instruction in a supportive classroom setting. Both roles are full time, 37.5 hours per week, and span the academic year with orientation/training dates to be confirmed.

What we’re looking for:

• Valid Special Education Teaching License
• Experience working with students with developmental cognitive delays, ASD, or DCD
• Comfort supporting students with mobility needs and mild behavioral challenges
• Strong IEP development and case management skills
• Effective communication and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Compassion, adaptability, and a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive environment

What you’ll do:

• Create and implement specialized lesson plans tailored to individual student needs
• Deliver instruction in academics and functional skills
• Manage and update IEPs, maintain progress documentation
• Support students’ physical, behavioral, and social-emotional development
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families to optimize learning outcomes
