Program Support Specialist

Job Description
PLEASE NOTE:

• It is 100% Onsite position in McLean, VA
• Ability to work onsite in McLean, VA.
• Must be able to complete required USDOT/FHWA background/security process.

ROLE:

The program support specialist must provide basic technical and administrative day-to-day support services. The individual must perform both routine administrative, clerical and related duties in support of the government team or individuals, including telephone coverage. Office front desk support will be required of the program support specialist. The individual must have sufficient knowledge in automated office software suites to include Microsoft and Google products such as Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Google Docs, Google Meets, Slides, Calendar and Sheets Access, SQL, SharePoint, web browsers, time and attendance tracking systems, and other basic data entry application systems. Also, the individual must display good customer service skills and be flexible in adapting to deadlines and changing priorities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide front desk and telephone support.
• Coordinate calendars, meetings and appointments.
• Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations and other documents.
• Perform data entry and maintain records/files.
• Support procurement and travel activities.
• Assist with events, laboratory tours and conferences.
• Support inventory/property and operational tracking.
• Maintain administrative/timekeeping systems.
• Provide professional customer service and support multiple priorities.

Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:

• 1-2 years of relevant experience.
• High School Diploma/GED minimum.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Strong organizational and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to produce accurate, quality work under deadlines.
• Working knowledge of:

• MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, Meet
• SharePoint
• Access / basic data systems
• Time & attendance systems
• Data-entry applications
