Bus Route DriverA Bus Route Driver plays a vital role in the daily operations of United Community School District by safely transporting students to and from school and school-related activities. This position requires a dependable and caring individual who values safety, punctuality, and positive interactions with children. Bus drivers are often the first and last school staff members students see each day, and they help set the tone for a welcoming and respectful school environment.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentValid CDL with school bus and passenger endorsements (or willingness to obtain)Clean driving recordAbility to pass required background checks and physical examinationsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsExperience working with children is preferredA commitment to safety, reliability, and professionalismDuties and Responsibilities:Safely operate a school bus on regular and special routesFollow established routes and schedules in a timely mannerConduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safetyMaintain order and ensure student safety on the busBuild positive and respectful relationships with students and familiesCommunicate effectively with school staff, students, and parents when neededReport any incidents, concerns, or maintenance needs promptlyFollow all federal, state, and local regulations regarding school transportationDuty Days: Student contact days through May 30, 2027
