A/C Technician Manufacturing

Location: Sanford, FL Schedule: Monday Friday first shift Pay: Competitive, based on experience

Are you an experienced HVAC or Automotive A/C Technician looking for a stable career with a company that builds life-saving emergency vehicles? We're looking for a skilled A/C Technician to join our production team and install, service, and test air conditioning systems in custom-built ambulances.

Responsibilities:

• Install air conditioning and auxiliary heating components in ambulance units.
• Modify and install OEM A/C system components as needed.
• Charge, evacuate, and reclaim refrigerants according to EPA regulations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot A/C and heating system issues.
• Perform pressure testing, leak detection, and final operational testing.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
• Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and specialty HVAC equipment safely.
• Maintain quality standards while meeting daily production goals.
• Follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety procedures at all times.
• Assist with other production-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience with automotive, commercial, or heavy equipment A/C systems.
• EPA Section 609 or MACS certification preferred (or ability to obtain).
• Experience working with refrigerants, compressors, condensers, evaporators, and HVAC controls.
• Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, and wiring schematics.
• Comfortable using power tools and working in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.
• Reliable attendance and a team-oriented attitude.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 40 lbs.
• Stand, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the shift.
• Work inside ambulances and around production equipment.
