MLT/MLS Blood Banker - JPS (Nights)

Overview This opportunity is available for MLT and MLS-qualified candidates at our JPS LOCATION. This shift will be THURSDAY THROUGH SATURDAY, 17:30-06:00. Principal Accountability The Medical Laboratory Scientist – Blood Banker (MLS-BB) participates in all activities within Reference & Transfusion (R&T) Services, including performing testing and services associated with assigned departmental duties within the scope of complexity defined by accrediting agencies, and participating in competency, proficiency, and educational activities. Through these responsibilities, the MLS-BB ensures daily R&T laboratory operations meet all established regulatory and quality standards, deliver excellence in transfusion services, and support the needs of all R&T customers. The MLS-BB exemplifies and champions Carter BloodCare (CBC) Core Values and Code of Conduct, and adheres to CBC policies and applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). To support ongoing development and organizational goals, the MLS-BB is required to attend meetings and training sessions, as assigned. The MLS-BB maintains active and current professional licensure and/or certifications, as required by role-specific regulations and organizational requirements. Periodic travel between assigned work areas to support other locations/projects in CBC service regions, as well as to attend in‑services, training, and meetings, is required. This position may require working varied shifts, extended hours, weekends, and/or overtime to support operational needs.
