Pharmacy Fulfillment Technician

Our fulfillment area is where accuracy, organization, and pace come together. We are looking for a dependable, take-charge Pharmacy Fulfillment Technician who likes staying busy, notices what needs to be done, and takes ownership of keeping work moving. This is not a customer-facing position. You will not spend your day answering phones or managing patient calls. Instead, you will work hands-on with prescriptions as they move through the fulfillment process, helping ensure medications are processed, labeled, packaged, documented, and prepared accurately and efficiently. We are looking for more than someone who can complete a list of assigned tasks. We want someone who learns the workflow, understands the priorities, and becomes a person the team can count on to keep the fulfillment area organized and moving. Pharmacy experience is helpful, but it is not required. We can teach pharmacy processes. Reliability, attention to detail, work ethic, urgency, and personal accountability are much harder to teach. What You’ll Do Process, label, package, and prepare compounded prescriptions for fulfillment Keep prescriptions moving efficiently through each stage of the workflow Prioritize work based on production needs, shipping deadlines, and established procedures Maintain a steady and productive work pace without sacrificing accuracy Recognize workflow problems, unfinished work, or developing backlogs and take appropriate action Prepare materials and supplies before they are needed Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation Verify that work is complete and accurate before moving it to the next step Maintain an organized, clean, and inspection-ready work area Monitor supplies and replenish materials before shortages interrupt production Operate equipment and production tools according to training and established procedures Complete required cleaning and routine maintenance activities Communicate clearly with pharmacists, technicians, and supervisors about priorities or problems Help the team meet daily fulfillment goals while maintaining quality and compliance standards What Success Looks Like A successful technician in this position doesn't need to be continually reminded what comes next. You learn the workflow and take ownership of your part of it. You know what needs to go out, what needs attention, and what could slow the team down. You work with purpose, stay organized, and keep moving while maintaining accuracy. Your coworkers learn that when you are handling something, it will get done and it will get done correctly. Growth Opportunities Advanced fulfillment responsibilities Workflow coordination Batch compounding Inventory and materials management Quality assurance activities Equipment operation and maintenance Specialized pharmacy functions Training and supporting newer team members Schedule Four-day schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week, including one Saturday Five-day schedule: Five 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Strong attention to detail Dependable attendance and work habits Ability to maintain accuracy while working at a productive pace Strong organizational and follow-through skills Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities Ability to learn and consistently follow procedures Basic computer skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 30 pounds Certification Requirements Tennessee or North Carolina Board of Pharmacy registration required within 90 days of employment Successful completion of required internal training and competency assessments Previous pharmacy, production, fulfillment, manufacturing, shipping, inventory, or other process-driven experience is helpful but not required.
