Accountant

Senior Accountant - Washington, DC Beacon Hill is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the accounting team with month-end close activities, reconciliations, and general accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, experience working in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy. Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries Perform account reconciliations and analysis Support month-end and quarter-end close processes Maintain balance sheet schedules and supporting documentation Assist with accruals, fixed assets, and other general ledger activities Research and resolve accounting discrepancies Support financial reporting and ad hoc projects as needed Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial records Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial reporting Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred Preferred Background Mix of corporate and/or public accounting experience Experience working in a multi-entity or complex accounting environment Exposure to large ERP systems is a plus Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
