MRO Category Manager

In this high-impact role, you will manage $30–35MM in indirect spend, directly influencing our reliability and operational efficiency. Drive Impact: Your Core Contributions Transform our sourcing landscape by taking ownership of the following opportunities:

• Architect Sourcing Strategies: Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies for MRO supplies, services, energy, and packaging to align with overarching business goals.

• Champion Supplier Partnerships: Lead supplier selection and negotiations, securing best-in-class pricing, service levels, and lead times.

• Optimize Performance: Track category spend and supplier KPIs, building robust cost models to mitigate risk and ensure high service levels.

• Collaborate & Standardize: Partner with cross-functional warehouse and operations teams to drive standardization and improve parts availability.

• Empower Your Team: Guide and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative environment dedicated to MRO excellence.

The Expertise You Bring Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 5+ years of strategic sourcing or category management experience, specifically with MRO or fulfillment center indirect spend.

• 5+ years of proven contract negotiation experience.

• Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and manage complex supplier relationships.

• High proficiency in data analysis, cost modeling, and Excel.

• Robust project management, organizational, and communication skills.

• Experience leading and developing teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of experience in a sourcing role with increasing responsibility.

• Experience with CMMS, ERP systems, or digital procurement tools (e.g., Coupa, Ariba, GEP).

• Familiarity with performance-based contracts, service agreements, and equipment warranties.

• Lean, Six Sigma, or operational improvement training.
