Patent Agent - Engineering

The Patents and Innovations Group at Wilson Sonsini has an opening for an IP specialist or patent agent with a background in physics, applied physics, engineering physics, physical chemistry, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, materials sciences, or related disciplines. Working knowledgeor practical experience in one of the following areas is strongly preferred: artificial intelligence (AI)/machine learning (ML) and its applications, solid state physics, quantum computing, nuclear physics, semiconductors, and optics. Advanced degrees are required, and prior patent agent, law firm, or industry experience is a plus. Relocation not available. Search firm submissions not accepted. Compensation and Benefits Salary range of $150,000 – $230,000, based on step level. Discretionary merit bonuses may also be awarded.
