Medical Assistant Certified

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant (MA-C) provides clinical support in a Primary Care Adult Outpatient Clinic setting, performing patient care duties and assisting healthcare providers. This role requires at least 6 months of relevant experience, proficiency in EPIC charting, and a valid BLS certification. The position is a temporary to permanent opportunity with a standard weekday day shift schedule and no on-call requirements. Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients, and administering injections as permitted.
• Document patient information and clinical data accurately in the EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Coordinate patient flow within the clinic and prepare exam rooms for patient visits.
• Support communication between patients and healthcare team members.
• Maintain clinic supplies and ensure a clean, organized work environment.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Current MA-C certification (Medical Assistant - Certified).
• Minimum 6 months experience in an Adult Outpatient Clinic setting.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Reliable personal transportation (no public transportation).

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience in Pediatric Outpatient or Private Physician Office settings.

Special Considerations:

• Position is open only to candidates willing to transition to permanent employment at the end of the contract.
• No on-call or floating duties required.
• Candidate must have reliable transportation and no additional scheduling restrictions.
• Subject to Return to Office (RTO) policies as determined by the hiring manager.
• Facility may call off the traveler up to one shift per pay period.

Scheduling:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM shifts with a one-hour lunch break.
• Five 8-hour day shifts per week.
• No weekend or holiday shifts required.
• Block scheduling or shift changes are not accommodated.
