Physician Assistant | Surgery - Cardiothoracic Location: Tampa, FL Employer: Adelphi Locums Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: 5 days x 8 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Specialty: NP/PA - Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Tampa, FL Service Setting: Inpatient, Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Call Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8-hour shifts On-Call Shift Schedule: Approximately 15 days per month, including weekends Call Type: Beeper Call Ratio: 1:2 Call Response Time: 30 minutes Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Pediatric and Adult congenital cardiac patients Rounding: Both Case Mix: Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic surgery, pediatric and adult congenital FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Cerner PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: No JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC required, minimum level: Certified Licenses: Florida license or Universal License (IMLC) Certifications: ACLS, PALS Experience: Minimum 3 years post-training in pediatric cardiac surgery Other Qualifications: RNFA certification for APRN Duties & Responsibilities Provide surgical assistance in the operating room alongside Pediatric and Adult Congenital Cardiac Surgeons. Manage patient care in ICU and other settings. Serve as a liaison between patients and physicians. Provide comprehensive care for pediatric and adult congenital cardiac patients.
