Civil/Structural Engineering Manager (MS/PhD)

Job Overview Civil/Structural Engineering Manager (MS/PhD) – Austin, TX. Full‑time, on‑site position in Exponent’s Civil & Structural Engineering Practice. In this role, you will lead analytical problem‑solving, conduct experimental field investigations, develop client relationships, and advance the firm’s engineering solutions. Responsibilities Inspection, analysis, and determination of root causes of structural/building envelope performance failures. Conduct projects and supervise analytical and computer problem‑solving activities. Lead field investigations and diagnostic surveys. Prepare and present technical reports and complex engineering assessments. Continue professional development to maintain professional expertise. Provide expert testimony when required. Qualifications M.S. or Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in the state of Texas. Minimum of seven (7) years of technical engineering and post‑graduation project management experience. Experience drafting and reviewing analyses, reports, and presentations. Effective leadership skills and ability to interact positively with professional, technical, and administrative staff. Strong professional reputation with a record of publications. The base salary range is competitive and will be assessed during the interview process.
