Description
We are a growing paving, concrete, and earthwork contractor seeking a motivated and experienced Construction Estimator / Project Engineer to join our team. We specialize in site development, grading, excavation, underground utilities, concrete construction, asphalt paving, and public and private infrastructure projects.

What You'll Do
- Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs for earthwork, concrete, asphalt, and site development projects
- Review plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, and contract documents
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals
- Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration
- Support project managers with submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation
- Coordinate with field personnel to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget
- Track project costs and assist with monthly reporting
- Participate in preconstruction meetings and site visits
Qualifications
- Experience in estimating, project engineering, or project management within the construction industry
- Knowledge of grading, excavation, paving, and concrete construction practices
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with estimating software is preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
