Clinical Dietitian

Registered DietitianThe Registered Dietitian provides comprehensive medical nutrition care to patients across the care continuum. This role is responsible for assessing nutritional needs, developing individualized nutrition care plans, providing nutrition education, and making appropriate dietary recommendations based on each patient's clinical needs. The Dietitian works collaboratively with patients, families, providers, nursing teams, and food service staff to support safe, effective, and patient-centered nutritional care.Essential Functions:Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans based on nutritional needs, physician orders, clinical data, interdisciplinary care plans, and established standards of practice.Implement and monitor nutrition interventions, including therapeutic diet modifications, nutrition therapy recommendations, and follow-up care, based on each patient's clinical, physical, psychosocial, and age-specific needs.Document nutrition-related assessments, interventions, recommendations, follow-up findings, diet consultations, discharge planning, clinical activities, and other pertinent patient information in accordance with established standards.Provide individualized nutrition counseling and education to patients and families regarding prescribed therapeutic diets, nutrition goals, and strategies to support their nutritional needs.Collaborate with food service staff and the interdisciplinary care team to help ensure patients receive appropriate meals, supplements, and nutrition support.Review patient menu selections as appropriate to help ensure alignment with prescribed therapeutic and modified diets.Participate in department initiatives and other activities that support quality nutritional care and patient outcomes.Perform other duties as assigned.Follow organizational policies, procedures, and applicable professional and regulatory standards.Patient Care: This position involves indirect and/or direct patient care.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Clinical Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field required.Experience may not be substituted for the required degree.Dietitian and Nutritionist [State License] preferred.Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential preferred.Heartsaver CPR/AED certification preferred.Completion of an accredited dietetic internship required.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to assess nutritional needs, evaluate clinical information, and develop appropriate solutions.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.Ability to educate, guide, and motivate patients across all age groups.Strong organizational and critical-thinking skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.Additional Job Details (if applicable):Remote Type: OnsiteWork Location: 75 Francis StreetScheduled Weekly Hours: 40Employee Type: RegularWork Shift: Day (United States of America)Pay Range: $29.40 - $84,656.00/AnnualGrade: 6
