SUPPLY SYSTEMS ANALYST

Job Title

The role involves a variety of duties focused on ensuring the accuracy and integrity of ordnance inventory records.

Duties

The following responsibilities are part of the position:

• Review management reports and listings to ensure ordnance inventory accuracy and identify problem areas and trends.
• Initiate quality control checks to identify issues in areas such as receiving, requisition processing, exception processing, causative research, etc.
• Pay attention to the accuracy of ordnance data and transaction documentation, compliance of procedures affecting inventory records with regulations and directives, and the validity and property of inventory accounting documents.
• Review and approve adjustment and their reversals, when appropriate, in accordance with the thresholds established in NAVSUP P-724.
• Coordinate with appropriate internal and external sources to identify process/systemic problems and develop and implement corrective actions for identified problems.
• Participate in projects and evaluations that impact inventory accuracy records including major re-warehousing efforts, revisions to receiving/receipt control procedures, etc.
• Review inventory adjustments to determine the accuracy and adequacy of inventory, reconciliation and research procedures.
• Recommend and initiate appropriate corrective actions to eliminate systemic deficiencies.
• Compose correspondence explaining system requirements and action taken to resolve problems.
• Brief managers and officials concerning issues, problems, proposed solutions and program accomplishments.
