• Shift: 8-hour day shifts (between 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM), Monday-Friday; rotating weekends

Job Requirements (Hospital SLP / Travel Speech Therapist)

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital and inpatient rehab setting (hospital SLP experience preferred)
• Current SLP certification (ASHA CCC-SLP or state licensure preferred)
• Experience with stroke evaluation and post-stroke rehabilitation (stroke rehab, aphasia therapy) preferred
• Clinical skills in swallowing assessment and dysphagia treatment
• Experience with MBSS (Modified Barium Swallow Study), FEES, VitalStim/AmpCare a plus
• Familiarity with Meditech Expanse documentation system is a plus
• Ability to float to acute hospital units as needed (acute care and inpatient float)
• Excellent communication and patient service skills; AIDET communication model experience preferred
• Professional appearance: black scrub bottoms and royal blue top preferred

Primary Responsibilities (Speech Therapist / SLP Duties)

• Provide comprehensive speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing evaluations and evidence-based treatments for hospital inpatients
• Manage dysphagia and provide instrumental assessments (MBSS with TIMS, FEES) and therapy using devices such as VitalStim and AmpCare
• Deliver post-stroke speech and language rehabilitation, including aphasia and cognitive-communication interventions
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including occupational therapy, physical therapy, nursing, and rehabilitation physicians
• Document patient care accurately and timely using Meditech Expanse and follow hospital documentation standards
• Participate in rotating weekend coverage and float to acute hospital units as needed
• Provide exceptional patient experiences using AIDET communication and immediate service recovery techniques
