Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in a high-risk, high-volume Labor and Delivery unit supporting all types of deliveries across 31 rooms with an average daily census of 15 patients and 500–600 deliveries per month
• Function in the role of Baby Nurse during delivery, providing continuous newborn care including eye prophylaxis, Vitamin K injections, and newborn assessments until transfer to postpartum
• Circulate in the operating room environment across 4 ORs as required
• Administer and monitor high-acuity medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
• Utilize EPIC and electronic fetal monitoring systems in accordance with AWHONN staffing guidelines
• Float to postpartum and antepartum units, including sister facilities providing Mother/Baby care, as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of Labor and Delivery experience in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment; high-risk L&D experience required
• Must be able to circulate in the OR setting
• Must be able to perform newborn care including eye prophylaxis, Vitamin K injections, and newborn assessments
• Active RN license; compact license accepted
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required at time of submission
• Must pass clinical review; current Nursys verification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 5 or more years of high-risk Labor and Delivery experience strongly preferred
• ACLS certification preferred
• AWHONN Advanced or AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
• Experience with midwifery clients, community care populations, and Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery
