About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room (OR) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Level I trauma experience required. Ability to scrub is a plus. Must be able to circulate endovascular, spine, neuro, ortho, and ortho trauma procedures. License: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license required. Certifications: BLS - AHA required. ACLS and PALS preferred. Must-Have: - Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. - Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. - Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel. Description: Primarily responsible for applying the nursing process to the care of veteran patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room. This includes, but is not limited to, assuring that appropriate documentation reflects assessment of patient needs, interdisciplinary treatment plans, clinical intervention, and evaluation of patients' responses to treatments. Also responsible for assigning and evaluating the work of non-nursing direct care providers assigned to the operating room. On-call requirement after 90 days. Float requirement to Client as needed. Scrubs will be provided.
