Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CVICU Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: rotating Employment Type: Travel Description: Primarily focused on ICU, with the possibility to float to CVICU. There may also be a potential to float to Med/Surg Tele units if there is an operational need and low census. CVICU experience required. Responsibilities: Utilize the nursing process effectively in patient care by ensuring relevant, accurate, and current patient records. Provide documentation of comprehensive patient assessments, including physical, psychological, social dimensions, and discharge plans. Initiate and communicate care plans with allied patient care providers. Assume and demonstrate proficiency in the role of charge nurse. Demonstrate proficiency in computerized nursing informatics (information systems). Serve as a resource person for patient care, staff orientation, and teaching. Participate in evaluating care, monitoring quality and appropriateness. Adhere to safety policies and procedures, particularly concerning blood/body fluids. Assess and document personal and professional development needs, maintaining knowledge of techniques and regulations. Represent the hospital favorably within the community while maintaining confidentiality. Perform other related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor. Qualifications: Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Graduate of a School of Nursing. Currently licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required. Prior critical care experience required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Completion of CCHC Pharmacology and Basic Arrhythmia exams. Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Preferred: Certification in De-escalation, Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN), and Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR). Preferred: Demonstrated skills in hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator care, and intracranial pressure monitoring.
