Logistics Specialist III

Location Fully onsite in Parker, Colorado Duration 12 months; W2 position Work Authorization Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. Position Summary Prepare logistics documentation for spares, tools, test equipment, materials, and related manuals for deployment and stock. Route, document, and coordinate shipping logistics, maintaining records of equipment, components, repair parts, manuals, and tracking logistics materials for proper allocation of storage facilities. Ensure shipping activities adhere to state, federal, and global regulations and import/export requirements. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Microsoft Word and Excel skills Understanding and experience with inventory and supply chain/logistics principles and techniques Progressive experience with inventory databases Preferred Familiarity with AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems HazMat Training/Certification Ability to operate a forklift Experience with shipping databases (e.g., FedEx, DHL, UPS) Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and clean driving record Understanding of shelf life Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military Education High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 4 or more years of relevant experience Higher-level degree may substitute for experience Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education Work Environment Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements: Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps; repeat hand, arm, finger motions many times; requires vision and hearing; frequently lift or carry up to 50 lbs. Working Conditions: Occasionally exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow); rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals; occasionally exposed to loud noises. Safety Sensitive Position: Responsible for safety and security of people or property; inspects, handles, or transports explosives, hazardous materials; inspects structures, equipment, or vehicles; performs aviation related duties; operates or supervises vehicles or heavy equipment.
