Our seasonal Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience within the specific division being hired into and deemed competent to work independently. Responsibilities Under general supervision, deliver nursing care to patients following established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines. Plan and implement nursing care; document nursing assessments; identify and report situations requiring intervention; formulate and communicate goal-directed plans of care; assure patient rights. Assesses and analyzes health status of patients in the assigned unit; perform and document comprehensive assessments. Perform ongoing assessments, document findings, and report significant results to the healthcare team. Initiate discharge planning with the initial admission assessment and plan patient care in collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare team. Formulate individualized patient plans of care based on assessment data and update the plan within established timeframes. Direct, implement, and coordinate patient care activities to ensure delivery of quality care; communicate plans of care to the team. Direct care team members within their scope of practice and document all patient care provided, including assessments, interventions, and patient response. Provide patient education tailored to assessed needs and evaluate understanding; participate in ongoing evaluation of patient outcomes and adjust care plans accordingly. Include patients and families in the evaluation process and ensure care is appropriate for the populations served (e.g., age, size, diagnosis). Demonstrate knowledge of assessment techniques, diagnostic tools, evidence-based practices, and quality improvement processes. Maintain documentation according to healthcare standards and legal requirements and ensure clear communication with the healthcare team. Qualifications Education: Graduate of a School of Professional Nursing; requires an associate degree. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Licenses/Certifications: Florida RN license; BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), NIHSS certifications required.
