Dental Hygienist

Job Summary:

The Dental Hygienist in a hospital setting provides comprehensive preventive and therapeutic oral health care to patients across diverse medical units. Working as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team, the Dental Hygienist delivers evidence-based dental hygiene services to medically complex, pediatric, adult, geriatric, and special-needs patients. Responsibilities include performing oral assessments, prophylaxis, periodontal therapies, patient and caregiver education, and supporting infection control and patient safety standards. The role emphasizes collaboration with dentists, physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to promote oral-systemic health, reduce hospital-acquired infections, and improve overall patient outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates Degree from an approved Dental Hygiene program and current NYS license/registration as a Dental Hygienist required. Prior related experience and certification preferred.

Work Days:

M-F 8AM-5PM
