Job Details Biweekly Schedule: Week One (Willow Grove Campus): Mon–Wed 8a–7p & Fri 7a–4p Week Two (Lansdale Campus): Mon–Wed 8a–7p & Fri 7a–4p Work Shift: Workday Day (United States of America) Primary Location: Lansdale Hospital, 100 Medical Campus Drive, Lansdale, Pennsylvania, United States of America Responsibilities Perform mammography exams, screenings, and diagnostic studies. Assist during invasive procedures under physician direction. Detect breast tissue abnormalities and present findings to the physician for diagnosis. Deliver patient care and education before, during, and after diagnostic imaging procedures. Interact with co‑workers, visitors, and other staff in accordance with Jefferson values. Operate mammography equipment and perform examinations to produce radiograph images for clinical screening and diagnostic purposes. Ensure successful procedures by positioning patients accurately, instructing them throughout the examination, and adjusting compression mechanisms and equipment controls to set exposure factors. Provide staff and patient protection in accordance with prescribed radiation safety standards. Document patient mammogram services by completing patient record charting. Obtain complete and accurate patient history and deliver care and support services before, during, and after mammogram procedures. Ensure operation of mammography equipment through preventive maintenance, use instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, and maintaining equipment inventories. Perform other related technologist duties as directed by the lead technologist, supervisor, or manager, including those related to quality assurance and/or control. Maintain continuing education required for licenses and job position. Perform other duties as assigned. Competencies Knowledge of mammographic imaging techniques and procedures. Ability to produce diagnostic images and detect breast diseases early. Knowledge of patient preparation for diagnostic/radiological imaging and monitoring reactions during and after procedures. Respond to emergent situations with appropriate measures. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Graduate of a recognized School of Radiology Sciences or current validated registry from ARRT in Radiology Technology (R). ARRT (R) or CT preferred. At least 40 hours of documented mammography training or 3 months of on‑the‑job competency and didactic program completion. Additional 5 months to attain (M) certification. 6 months to 1 year of experience preferred. Minimum Certifications, Registration or License Requirements Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. ARRT certification in radiography, ARRT advanced certification in mammography. FDA/MQSA qualified, including meeting the MQSA CE requirements of at least 15 CEU’s in a 36‑month period that are mammography specific. (M) registry eligible 6 months to attain (M) certification.
