This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

As an Inpatient Physical Therapist, you will evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify their treatment plans in accordance with their needs and physician direction. You will be responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients and ensure the design of functional treatment programs that enable effective return to community activities.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals focused on progress towards discharge.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address barriers to discharge, including equipment trialing and ordering.
• Demonstrate flexibility in caseload management and ensure proper communication and implementation of care plans.
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions based on patient needs.
• Document medical records clearly and timely in compliance with state, federal, and hospital guidelines.
• Participate in the student program by providing a learning environment for students.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education and involvement in professional activities.
• Adhere to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Understand and apply the organization's performance improvement methodology.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• Must hold a valid, current state license as a Physical Therapist.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience is required, with inpatient rehab experience preferred.
