Duration: 3+ month contract (likelihood extension through 2027)

Hours: 40 (full-time)

Pay: $90-100/hour

Position Summary

Brooksource is seeking a Indusrial Engineer Consultant to support a high-impact warehouse transformation initiative within a large-scale distribution and logistics operation. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive at the intersection of Industrial Engineering, Warehouse Operations, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellence . Rather than supporting day-to-day operations, you will be embedded within the distribution center to evaluate current-state processes, uncover inefficiencies, and develop a strategic roadmap that will shape the site's future operating model.

Over the course of this engagement, you will partner with operations leadership to assess warehouse performance, establish operational baselines, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements that support a broader modernization effort, including facility expansion, infrastructure redesign, process standardization, and future technology enhancements. This role is focused on understanding how work is performed today and defining how it should be performed tomorrow. The resulting recommendations will help guide transformation initiatives beginning in 2027.

Areas of Focus

Consultants will support one of two core operational areas:

• Inbound Operations (through pack)
• Outbound Operations (pack through shipping)

What You'll Do

• Assess current warehouse operations through observation, data analysis, and stakeholder interviews.
• Conduct time studies, work measurement analyses, and process mapping exercises.
• Establish baseline metrics for productivity, throughput, capacity utilization, labor efficiency, and operational performance.
• Identify bottlenecks, workflow constraints, process variation, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop future-state process designs and operational recommendations.
• Create KPI frameworks, reporting requirements, and operational controls.
• Quantify business impact and expected benefits associated with proposed improvements.
• Build an implementation roadmap that supports future warehouse modernization and expansion initiatives.
• Present findings and recommendations to operations and site leadership.
